Before masking

My skin is feeling sensitive and even more prone to dehydration due to the colder temperatures. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Out of the packet, I caught a moderate strong citrus scent. It was really pleasant. Essence was runny and had a light yellow tinge.

The mask material felt soft and thin, like a Taiwanese mask. There was a plastic backing holding it to prevent it from collapsing onto itself.

During masking

Fit was great, at least on my face. The sheet was of average size and I think it will fit most face shapes. The holes were appropriately positioned but I wish they were a tad bigger.

Adherence was great too! Thanks to the thin material, the mask was clingy and got even more clingy as it dried out.

I detected a mild minty sensation in the first 10 mins of wear. I felt kinda soothing against my mildly irritated skin. It would also be great for inflamed skin or in the summer.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was slightly damp.

After masking

The remaining essence took some time to dry down and absorb. Finish was tacky and looked dewy even after an hour.

My skin felt intensely hydrated and moisturized. There was no need for a moisturizer on my combo skin, in fact, I had to urge to wipe down the excess with a toner-soaked cotton pad. Hence, I think dry skin will enjoy this mask more. Not recommended for oily skin.

Visually, there was no much of a difference to my skin. Calming, brightening, and pore blurring effects were mild.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

This was a pleasant mask to use, I particularly enjoyed the scent. Aside from that, it was nothing special and I don’t recommend it since there are other better masks with the same price point. Check out more Jayjun reviews here.
