Leegeehaam Pure Cleansing Oil

Review: Leegeehaam (LGH) Pure Cleansing Oil ★★★★★

Leegeehaam Pure Cleansing Oil is formulated with sunflower seed oil, it gently and effectively melts away every trace of makeup and impurities, leaving skin clean and refreshed.

It contains a plethora of essential oils. Essential oils are the volatile essences of plants that create unique, wafting fragrances. They can be extracted from any plant’s flowers, bark, stem, leaves, roots, and sometimes its fruits. No matter the source, these oils are complex mixtures, often containing up to 60 different substances—some good for skin, others not so good and may cause skin irritation or acne. I’ve never had an issue with essential oils in my skincare, in fact, my skin loves it.

Key ingredients and benefits:

  • Sunflower Extract Oil – A lightweight oil that provides rich moisturizing and antioxidant protection. It is rich in linoleic acid and vitamin E.
  • Lavender Oil – has anti-inflammatory properties which makes it great for soothing and healing skin that’s irritated or reddened from the sun, insect bites, or bacteria.
  • Meadowfoam Seed Oil – a slightly waxy oil that closely resembles human sebum. It naturally helps skin to effectively form a barrier and lock in moisture and deliver nutrients deep into the epidermis.

Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, PEG-30 Sorbitan, Tetraoleate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Caprylyl Glycol, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Peel Extract, Tocopherol, Citrus Limon (Lemon) Peel Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Ocimum Basilicum (Basil) Oil, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Salvia Sclarea (Clary) Oil

155ml/5.25 fl. oz of cleansing oil comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with an airless pump. It even comes with a lock for ease of travel. Such packaging style is hygienic and allows me to dispense a consistent amount of product every time. It also allows me to see the amount of product left and whether it’s time to order a replacement.

I keep this in the shower and such packaging protects the product inside from water and soap, or whatever goes splashing around in the shower.

How to use:

Rub three to four pumps into dry hands and apply evenly over the face. Gently massage and rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow up with a gentle facial cleanser.

The cleansing oil is clear and has a runny consistency, more so than Manyo Factory’s Pure Cleansing Oil. It’s extremely smooth and did not cause any dragging on my skin. I detected a faint citrus scent.

Upon contact with the slightest bit of water, it emulsifies and turns milky. In this milky state, it will continue to get off more stubborn make up.

It rinses off very easily, leaving my skin soft and smooth without any residue. Waterproof mascara and waterproof liquid eyeliner did require some rubbing to get rid off but base make up came off right away. I have not encountered a make up remover that’s able to entirely remove that Peri Pera lip tint in 1 shot.

Leegeehaam Pure Cleansing Oil

After 2 weeks of testing on my face, I’ve finally found a formula for how much product to dispense:

  • 1 pump – sunscreen only
  • 2 pumps – sunscreen, concealer, eyebrow pencil, lip tint
  • 3 pumps – full face of makeup including waterproof mascara

I prefer to use this at night to remove grime and dirt accumulated from the day’s activities. I found that I was able to open my eyes during application without experiencing any sensitivity. My vision did get cloudy for a couple of second but it disappeared quickly.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this cleansing oil and highly recommend it to all skin types, even non makeup wearers. This does a good job of cleansing the skin without stripping it of moisture. But if you have a known skin allergy to essential oils, I advise you to avoid this. Check out more LGH reviews here.
