Before masking

My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin with the Jelly Mist. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

The thick jelly mist was super intriguing, it flops around in a blob when I tipped the bottle from side to side. It also dispensed in the form of a small blob. But when it touched the warmth of my skin, it melted into water form right away. It gave off a faint water-like scent and is almost scentless. I used around 8 spritzes around my face. It lightly hydrated and calmed my skin after cleansing. My skin also felt slightly softer. Unlike watery toners, this product does not get everywhere. All of it stayed on my face so kudos to the texture for not being messy.

Out of the packet, I caught the same faint water-like scent that is almost scentless. The essence felt like a runnier version of the jelly mist once it was spread out.  The mask material was a thin woven/cellulose sheet that felt soft and plush. It did not come with a backing.

Fit and adherence were great! The sheet had a large overall size. My only minor complaint is the overly large mustache piece. The material clung on tightly to my skin and conformed nicely to the undulations of my features.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was slightly damp.

The remaining essence absorbed with ease, leaving behind a non-tacky and silky-looking finish.

My skin felt more hydrated than moisturized. This felt perfect on my dehydration-prone combo skin. I applied a thin layer of gel moisturizer when I used this at night, I skipped moisturizing when I used this in the day. As such, I think this combo is suitable for all skin types.

Results were amazing all around! My skin felt very soft, plump, and bouncy. Visually, my skin looked very smooth, radiant, even-toned, and calm.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

My skin was still recovering from eczema when I tested this combo. By right, I’m not supposed to use any skincare but this set was just too intriguing. I wasn’t expecting such amazing results given that my skin condition was pretty bad. But this combo gave me healthy and most importantly, non-irritated skin. This made me really really happy!
