Before masking

My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Material

Out of the packet, I caught a heavy perfumey fragrance. The cupra mask sheet felt very soft, very juicy, and came with a mesh backing with tabs for easy application. Essence had a watery-gel consistency.

During masking

Fit was okay, I love that this actually covers my entire forehead, which is rare. However, my top lip was covered the entire time. Perhaps the material there should be lesser. Also, the sheet was wider than it was long. My chin was barely cupped.

Adherence was great! The soft and thin material clung on tightly to my skin with no air bubbles or lifts.

I took the mask off after 30 min, it was still damp.

After masking

The remaining essence absorbed with moderate ease. Finish was dewy and tacky at first but continued to absorb and dry down. 15 mins later, the finish became non-tacky and looked velvety.

My skin felt nicely hydrated and moisturized. It was just the right amount for my combo skin. I was able to apply a gel moisturizer over it without any heaviness. As such, I think all skin types will enjoy this mask.

True to its claims, the greatest improvement I saw was to the tone of my skin. My skin tone looked more even and lively, not dull and gray-ish.

Some of my redness also disappeared, which was a great feat for this mask since I’m recovering from facial eczema. My skin also felt plump and supple.

I’ve tried 2 variants from Hello Skin Jumiso in the past and I think this is my favorite. It did what the other variants were able to do and also brightened my skin tone. I highly recommend this for anyone suffering from dullness. Check out more Hello Skin reviews here.
