Before masking

My skin is extra sensitive and red today. Sebum-wise, it’s feeling like normal skin with the usual slight dehydration. I’ve cleansed and toned my skin. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Material

Out of the packet, I caught a faint fresh rose scent. I couldn’t stop sniffing it as this was one of my favorite type of scents. 24 ml of essence was clear and runny.

According to the brand, the material is a Japan-made Bemliese sheet mask that is gentle on sensitive skin. It felt really soft and thin, almost silk-like. It came sandwiched between 2 backings, a thick perforated plastic one and a thick fabric one. Both backings help to retain the shape of the mask and prevent it from collapsing unto itself, rendering it not usable.

During masking

Fit and adherence were great! The sheet was large enough to cover my forehead and cup my chin with lots of excess on the sides. As such, I think it will fit all facial shapes. The material clung and conformed to my skin like second skin. My only gripe was the mouth slit which should be a hole. I could feel essence creeping into my mouth and I was not a fan of that sensation.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was starting to dry out with white patches on certain spots.

After masking

There was hardly any essence left on my skin. Finish was matte and felt non-tacky.

My skin felt nicely hydrated and slightly moisturized. It felt great on a warm day like this when my sebum production was higher than usual. I followed up with a gel moisturizer to seal everything in. Even then, it did not feel heavy at all. As such, I think this is highly suitable for all skin types this summer.

The mask performed exceptionally well in the other aspects that I normally look for. My skin looked radiant, calm, and plump. Fine lines were gone and so were large pores. My skin looked lively and healthy.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

Another impressive mask from Inna Organic! This brand is new to the US market and I hope they’ll gain the traction they deserve. Check out more Inna Organic reviews here.
