Orgaid Organic Face Polish

My skin is slightly sensitive and red today. It’s also dehydrated. I forgot to take a picture after cleansing and prior to smearing the product on my face.

Orgaid Organic Face Polish

100ml of scrub came in a soft squeeze tube. It was a little hard to squeeze product out at first. I’m guessing the product at the mouth is drier hence it got stuck. But after I got the first bit out, the rest came easier.

I didn’t detect any scent on the product when it was dry. It felt rough and dry but when I added a couple drops of water, it turned into a creamy scrub. The scrub also had a faint cookie dough scent.

Compared to popular facial scrubs like Skinfood’s Sugar Scrub and Klairs Sugar Polish, this one had finer bits and is more similar to Laura Mercier’s Flawless Skin Face Polish.

My sensitive skin has a slight phobia of physical scrubs but I realized that using a larger amount of product and mixing in more water actually made it less abrasive. Due to my proneness to redness, I was really gentle in the application and rinsed it off after 30 seconds of massaging.

Before masking

The product rinsed off very easily and left my skin feeling very soft and smooth. It got slightly irritated and red but that’s how my skin normally reacts to any physical touch.

I followed up with a toner and runny essence. Both absorbed into my skin at an alarming rate. Find out how I normally prep my skin for masking.

Orgaid Vitamin C Revitalizing Sheet Mask
Material

The sheet mask material felt thick and rough, it did not come with a backing. According to the brand, the material is a combination of non-woven fabric and natural hydrogel. It is the newest generation of fabric for sheet masks developed with advanced technology called Ecoderma.

Essence was runny and had a faint yellow tinge. I did not detect any scent from it.

During masking

Fit and adherence were not great. The material was thick and stiff so a couple cuts with were required to get it to fit better. Thanks to how soaked the sheet was it managed to stay put but still had lifts here and there. I was expecting my skin to tingle upon application because that’s how it normally reacts to Vitamin C. But to my surprise, there was no irritation at all.

I took the mask off after 30 mins, it was still damp.

After masking

There were lots of essence left to pat in. Despite having a runny essence in the beginning, the essence post-masking had more of a light gel texture. Patting in the essence felt like I was applying a light gel. It absorbed quickly, leaving behind a non-tacky, non-greasy, non-dewy finish.

My skin felt nicely hydrated and moisturized. It was the perfect amount on my combo skin. I was able to get away with just a sunscreen on top of this.

The moment I removed the sheet mask, I had a wow reaction from how much brighter and smoother my skin looked. My pores had also looked smaller. If it wasn’t for the remaining redness, I thought I’d applied a layer of tinted moisturizer that’s one tone too light for my skin.

I did not expect this mask to remove any redness due to it having more of a Vitamin C focus. Also, the redness might’ve been a result of the physical scrub.

Below is a side by side comparison of the before and after pictures.

I love the amazingly simple ingredients list. I’ve been looking for something like that for my sensitive skin and I’m glad they found me. I’d probably use the face polish less often + emulsify it more due to my sensitive skin. However, the mask was a straight thumbs up from me. I can’t wait to try the other variants!

Sheet masks: $6 each at Orgaid.
Polish: $37 for 3.38 fl oz at Orgaid.

Go be beautiful!
