Review: Purito Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ PA++++ ★★★★.☆
Just when I thought I’ve found my favorite sunscreens, A’pieu Sun Gel and Missha Sun Essence, this came along and set a new standard for me. I had no idea sunscreens could be so elegantly formulated till I tried this chemical one from Purito! Being chemical sunscreen means it absorbs ultraviolet rays and harmlessly emits them as heat.
All the ingredients are EWG Green Level 1 – 2 and excludes essential oils. It is over 70% water based and contains skin soothing ingredients like Centella Asiatica Extract, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Madecassic Acid, and Asiatic Acid. My sensitive skin is rejoicing!
It goes on like a non-greasy, lightweight moisturizer without any white cast or scent. This is important as a generous application is needed for sufficient protection. I tested this underneath make up on a day when I had to be out and about under the hot sun and I happy to report that this did not give me the usual “my face is melting” sensation. I have greasy eyelids and most sunscreens sting my eyes by the end of the day. Not this one.
This is one of those products where you’ll have to try it to believe how much of a joy it is to use everyday. Many thanks to Dayangku @my.seoul.sister who strongly urged me to try this!
